Mark Schurtz

Music has always been my driving force. I\'ve been an accomplished vocalist from and early age and throughout the years I\'ve never turned down an opportunity to learn something new... Whether it be musical genres or instruments, I\'ve always set my mind on progressing and pushing for what I want to attain. My live performance has the roots of an acoustic set but grows into live recording and arrangement of songs using effects pedals, electric guitars, vocal harmonization and beat-boxing which I loop and sing over the top of... It is much easier viewed then explained :) These techniques engaged the audience and judges enough at 2011 Spokane\'s Got Talent to get me first place in the competition. I\'ve spent a lot of time in the recording studio developing my sound and I\'m always in the process of recording and working on new material. I\'m born and raised in the Evergreen state. I\'m 21 years old. My roots are in R&B/Soul, but the music of Led Zeppelin and Jimi Hendrix runs through my veins :) My name is Mark Schurtz (you can just call me \"Shirtz\" if you\'d like) and I\'m ready to show people what I\'ve learned.
