DJ O.N.E.

DJ O.N.E. (pronounced Oh-N-EE) stands for “Outshining Negative Energy.” A graduate of the world class Scratch DJ Academy in Los Angeles, O.N.E.’s phenomenal style is influenced by pioneers such as DJ Kool Herc, DJ Premier, DJ Qbert, Richard Vission, and Swedish House Mafia. O.N.E.’s hip hop roots are planted in the rich soil of Coltrane, Parliament Funkadelic, as well as Hendrix and AC/DC. If you listen closely you can also hear traces of Afrika Bambaataa and Daft Punk. By exploring new genre fusions through mash-ups, remixes, and B-sides, DJ O.N.E. has quickly become one of California’s most sought after DJs spinning for the hottest night clubs in Hollywood, L.A., The OC, San Diego, all the way to the Bay. Along the way, O.N.E. has had the opportunity to work with many talented personalities in the music game like Funk Master Flex (HOT 97), DJ Carisma (POWER 106), and the World Famous NIC (102.3 KJLH) further solidifying his reputation for innovation and musical diversity. In mid 2009, DJ O.N.E. became the Director of the DJ Division for International All-Stars Marketing; helping develop DJ’s (from a business prospective) by decisively marketing them so they are granted the exposure they deserve. DJ O.N.E. also teaches DJing and music production for an after school program called Champions at Los Angeles High Schools, developing their creativity through their love of music. And in the summer of 2011, DJ O.N.E. began spinning for L.A.’s own prominent radio, 102.3 KJLH (owned by Motown Legend Stevie Wonder).
