Visual Art – Canberra

My name is Maharnia, but in the world of art, I go by the name ‘Dreambolic’. I began my serious artistic journey close to 5 years ago, diving into the medium of body painting. Coming from the small town of Mount Gambier, South Australia – ‘body painting’ was a medium that sparked interest with all who heard of me, as it was a lesser known art form. As some years passed I met and collaborated with many artists in different fields, particularly cosplay photographer ‘Steamkittens’. In 2018 I decided to turn my ‘Dreambolic’ image to focus more on the path of concept art and illustration for the gaming/movie industry. I have recently finished studying under the one-on-one mentorship diploma program with Brandon Reimchen at the online school of CG Spectrum. Since I began my illustration and concept art path, I still (at times) dive into body painting when hired for entertainment. Lately, in 2019 I have been producing and working towards creating not only new traditional pieces, but I have been working towards creating the world of ZenkoKon which holds a Yokai fox called KonKon, if successful, this will become merchandise that can be purchased directly through me or on drop shipping sites! Overall, I pride my work to be adaptable to different aesthetic styles while always adding visual interest to my pieces. Whether they be on live models, traditionally drawn or digitally painted concepts, I aim to elevate each project I work on by employing imagination and attention to detail to produce a quality piece.
