I am a queer artists working largely in black and grey with a growing love for painting. i moved from Sydney to Melbourne to pursue art and to try and live my dream of becoming a tattoo artist. I draw a lot of my inspiration from tattoo art and from surrealist painters such as frida khalo. I also enjoy the pulp art of the 80's and many book covers. my works are often based off of phrases and lines from classic literature and i love the challenge of turning words into images that have the same emotional effect. Art and drawing has always been my life and i was encouraged by my family in it from a young age, my mother and grandmother are both amazing amateur artists and i try to make all of my work the best quality in order to honour my recently deceased sister who was an aspiring artist and one of my biggest inspirations. i believe that there is art in everything and you can find beauty everywhere as long as you keep yourself open to it and i look forward to the RAW showcase with anticipation!
