Photography – San Jose

A friend of mine recently lamented over the limits of expressing yourself through the use of language, and his desire to find something better. I told him he had discovered why people make art. Art is a way of discussing a subject with the viewer; I use it to express my view and to possibly, hopefully, open up the viewer\'s mind to new ways of looking at the world. More than that, I photograph to explore my own interest in a subject, and to try to define my feelings from chaos into something tangible that I can then express to others. I photograph things that most people would walk past, or dismiss out of hand. Things that people see but don\'t observe; things people don\'t normally consider beautiful. Even things that are appreciated and already considered beautiful make it onto my list as a challenge for me to show people new ways of seeing them. I enjoy using my art to show people the beauty of simple things that surround them every day.
