I hold a Master of Fine Arts in Interior Design from The George Washington University, and am based in the suburbs of Washington DC where I work as an interior designer and string artist.
The String Art division of Elana Designs began when we needed the perfect piece of wall art for the front entryway of our home. We were looking for a tall, narrow, affordable piece that we would love seeing each time we opened our front door. After a seemingly endless search, I decided to create a piece myself. I combined my creativity and my learned design skills to construct a large triptych of one of my favorite places in the world. Lo and behold, it has become the focal point of our foyer and a conversation piece for almost everyone who enters our home. And most importantly, we absolutely love it.
My string art grabbed the attention of clients and friends who began commissioning me to make pieces for them. Each piece is custom and unique and I absolutely LOVE creating them.
