Visual Art – Chicago

Hello! Hola! Bonjour! I am a Franco-Venezuelan-American Illustrator currently residing in Chicago, Il and attending Columbia College Chicago as a senior in their Illustration BFA program. My work consist of simple, yet intricate, inked line work with the use of bold colored shapes in marker to emphasize certain aspects of the image. My focus relies on portraiture, book covers, surface design, hand lettering and illustration. A little personal info about me, I was born in Venezuela and moved to the States when at the age of 12 with my mother and sister due to the political situation in my country. However, at the age of 18 I decided to travel and moved to Paris, France for a year to figure out what I wanted to do with my life before starting college. Paris opened my eyes to the possibility of art being a career and not just a pastime hobby. Once I arrived in Chicago, I found out about illustration and fell in love. Ever since then, I have focused on achieving an artistic career.
