Everyday Strangers

Photography – Houston

Everyday Strangers is a project that explores the diversity of the human race and challenges the stereotypes that are placed on us everyday. It gives people the opportunity to embrace their own individuality and communicate their views freely. Everyday Strangers has shared stories from people all across the U.S. With over 500+ photographs and 200+ stories, Alonzo Williams Jr., photographer of Everyday Strangers, is looking to take this project worldwide. Because he firmly believes that the art of communication, listening and understanding are key ingredients to bridging gaps in social environments, he plans on exploring 4 different countries (each country located in 4 different continents) to meet and learn from at least 25 strangers in each location; making it a total of 100 strangers. For each country he plans to visit, he will learn the language that is spoken there. This will improve communication between artist and the strangers he will have encounters with.
