Photography – Brisbane

Passionate about showcasing Earth’s beauty, as well as man\'s relationship with our planet, I strive to find new and interesting landscapes while also capturing unique perspectives of well-known subjects. Based in Springfield Lakes, I originally hail from the bush. In fact, I spent my childhood in Central West NSW several hundred kilometres inland and – perhaps ironic given seascapes figure prominently in my print collection – only saw the ocean a couple of times before age 10. Initially inspired by a trio of fellow Aussies – renowned landscape and nature photographers Ken Duncan, Steve Parish and Peter Lik – I am almost entirely self-taught and have a particular fondness for long exposure photography. Rather than capturing snapshots in time, I often like to capture nature interacting with itself over a segment of time. Among numerous awards recognising my artistic talent, one of my photographs has on a couple of occasions been judged to be on par with the likes of US-based Lik, who lays claim to selling the world’s most expensive photograph - earning Silver alongside him at the 2013 International Loupe Awards and 2014 Australian Professional Photography Awards. For the astute collector, editions limited to just 12 or 50 prints also make existing releases of my early works highly exclusive.
