Fashion – Melbourne

Georgina was born in Adelaide, South Australia. Since a young age she has had a passion for art, travel and fashion. Georgina’s first experience in modeling and design came when she took part in an extra curricular fashion design course while attending International School in Thailand. Georgina and her classmates modeled the finished pieces she had designed, selected fabrics for and had made in choreographed parades held in the school’s auditorium. Georgina’s love of fashion and modeling continued to grow throughout her teens. At age 18 she had her first photo shoot, which featured pieces from a new local designer and was published in the University of Adelaide’s student paper OnDit. During her time at university Georgina remained involved in the local fashion and art scene. Because of her love of learning and education, she decided to complete an undergraduate degree before pursuing her interest in fashion as a career. Georgina graduated with a Bachelor of International Studies and a Diploma of Language in Japanese and was awarded a scholarship to study abroad in Germany. Upon her return home she began studying Image Management at the Colour Cosmetica Academy, a private beauty and fashion school in Adelaide and began working as a promotional and catwalk model in Adelaide and interstate. In early 2009 Georgina walked in parades as part of LMFF in Melbourne before deciding to relocate to Brisbane. She also participated in a wide variety of work experience placements assisting with styling at photo shoots and fashion parades, as well as the event management at arts and cultural events.
