Visual Art – Vancouver

Glu is an Indigenous non binary/gender queer fluid artist. They use they/them pronouns, are from the Okanagan Nation, and was born in Salt Lake City, Utah. They currently live on the Unceded Coast Salish territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil Waututh Nations (what is known as Vancouver). Glue and acrylic paint is their main medium and they create abstract designs on a variety of surfaces. They use the technique of acrylic pouring and all of their art experience is self taught. They have been creating fluid art for over a year and have been expanding their work in a variety of formats including, prints, canvas magnets, wood panels, T-shirt’s, and shoes. Glu first showcased themselves at their own art show that they put on at their home with the support of friends and family. They then presented their work at their friends art shows in Vancouver and was able to get their studio space near their home in the West End so they could continue to progress their artistic self. With the support and love from the community and their drive to push and go further in their art, Glu has been able to florish to the artist they are today.
