Visual Art – San Diego
I have recently returned from a three year journey of discovery in southeast Asia. Experiencing how this part of the world lives, I have been striving to incorporate my experiences abroad into my art.
Upon witnessing the pollution of consumerism and its effects on society, I have become obsessed in displaying this portion of our lives in my art. I am very interested in how today\'s culture creates a world of disposable goods in our daily lives.
Taking in this view of the world around me, I have been forging an art style I have termed \"Trash Pop\" - a reflection of how we consume and dispose of things that at one point is highly valued, but is easily replaced by the next latest trend. Using a mixed media platform, I am currently evolving my look and technique so I can give these thrown away images a new life in art.
