Visual Art – Orange County

I began my career as an illustrator. The first 25 years of my practice, I worked in watercolors, the style, "magical realism and storytelling". Some of these works are published in "100 Artists of the Brandywine Valley" by Catherine Quillman. Many of these works were adapted to textiles, posters, greeting cards and gift products for international markets. During this period I began a 15 year collaboration with author, poet and storyteller, Linda Goss. Together, we were listed on the Pennsylvania Council of the Arts teaching roster. As artists in residence we worked in inner city schools and institutions bringing storytelling and art to children, teens and the elderly. In 2009, I moved to Southern California. My work focuses on oils and textile design. My current collection of paintings, "THE MAD WOMEN" has been published as a book. This art book includes eight oil paintings created in 2018 in response to a rather dark period in my life and career. Each painting illustrates a stage in a journey of grief and loss to acceptance and renewed life.
