Gretel Lapica

I am a working artist who was born and raised in Miami, FL. I graduated from Florida State University in April of 2011 with a Bachelors of Arts in Art History with a second major in Studio Art. After taking a class titled Art and Ecology in college, my art finally made sense to me; I realized that my inspiration derived mainly from nature\'s constant cycle of construction and deconstruction. Life experiences, family, and friends also come into play when inspiration strikes. My mixed media pieces allow me to explore my ideas as fluidly as possible. With no constraint of media, my work can be seen as a giant montage of recycled found materials.
