Photography – Columbus
I\'m John Johnson and I\'m the guy who makes GT6 Photography go. My studio is in downtown Columbus, Ohio. The building is an open industrial space filled with artists. The studio itself is pretty cozy and the environment really lets the creativity flow. The longer I do this the more focused the direction of my style becomes. GT6 Photography combines elements of different styles to create its unique Alt-Fetish-Glam look. I like dark and bizarre themes which continue to push my work in new directions. I was fortunate enough to be part of the start up team for Féroce magazine and I continued as lead photographer until mid 2014. Working with the magazine allowed me to see things from a new perspective and meet a lot of new people.
Quite a bit of my work is created in the studio but anytime there is an chance to shoot a new location, it\'s on! Who doesn\'t love a good road trip? Old creepy buildings and crazy locations have made for some memorable shoots and some great stories. At heart, I\'m a collaborator. I love the team concept and I know that it allows me to be more creative and work with other people who are passionate about what they do. I have worked with models from all over but there are a few who I have been lucky enough to work with multiple times. I shoot with models of all experience levels, some of the best models I have worked with are fairly new to the game.
