Shakim Shabazz founded Harmony Imani Clothing in 2015. Being a hip hop recording artist he felt as though it was important to incorporate fashion within his brand image because of the impact it has within the hip hop culture. He chose the name Harmony Imani to reflect his two daughters, Harmony & Destiny Imani. Shakim has had the opportunity to showcase his brand in multiple fashion shows within the country such as New York and Los Angeles. He has also had the privilege of having his brand featured in popular urban clothing stores within Connecticut. Shakim recently opened a clothing store called "New Heaven Apparel" featuring his line as well as other brands.
