Fashion – Tucson
I am Jenny Hermalik, the one women show behind Heart Strings Couture; an up and coming presence in the Fashion Industry. I have an almost unhealthy love for all things fashion. Silhouette, color, a shoe, a shoe string… everything gets me excited because it’s the beginning of an idea; a feeling that someone will ultimately have when they wear it, or if you’re like me, just by looking at it. I\'m one of those freaks that will buy something, even if it doesn\'t fit (at a reasonable price) just to take it home and be able to stare at it and I have an irrational fear of wasting a good outfit on an insignificant day, because Fashion is my art, Fashion is my influence. My goal is to reach a level in my industry, in my life, that I am able to be an influence for others, through my art.
I am a seasoned local Fashion Designer, and alumni of the University of Arizona with a degree in Retailing and Consumer Sciences I received from the Terry J. Lundgren Center for Retailing in December of 2011. While attending the University of Arizona, I took Clothing Construction and Draping courses at Pima Community College and participated in community fashion events such as Moda Provocateur, Tucson Young Professional\'s Spring Fashion Shows, and Fashion\'s Night Out. Upon obtaining my degree, I realized that even though I had this degree, my deepest desire was to pursue a career in Fashion Design. I furthered my education by returning to Pima in the spring and fall of 2012 for Flat Pattern and Digital Pattern Making courses as well as returned to my home town of Sierra Vista, Arizona, where I currently reside and have the opportunity to devote as much time as possible to my main focus, building my portfolio, to pursue my career, my dreams.
