Music – Detroit
Started in 2013 in the suburbs of Detroit, Honeybabe is a collaborative alternative-indie psych rock-pop band consisting of Michael la Bella, Matthew McBrien, Drew Bartosik, Danny Despard and Austin Keith. The band has been gigging consistently since 2014, playing everything from local house show and venues such as The Loving Touch, El Club and The Magic Stick, and larger outdoor festivals such as DIY Street Festival, Pig & Whiskey, Great Lakes Art and Music Festival and Dally in the Alley to touring the East Coast in 2017 and Midwest in 2018. The band released their first album, Creatures of Circumstance, in 2014 and a 6-song EP, Velvet Glum, in 2016. In 2019 Honeybabe plans on more touring around the United States and Canada in support of the release of their first proper studio album.
