HKelly designs is a fun and funky handbag company created by Heidi Kelly from Kutztown, PA. Heidi was looking for something different in the handbag selection offered by most stores; she didn’t want to have the same bag as everyone else. She started learning handbag design on her own, working from the internet and books. In 2012 Heidi was diagnosed with breast cancer. Instead of falling victim to the “Why me” syndrome she moved forward with her designing and created HKelly designs, Ltd. Instead of seeking therapy she turned to her sewing machine. Heidi’s sewing machine and family helped her through the hardest thing she has ever done. Today she has done through 2 rounds with breast cancer but has not let that stop. She continues to do all the designing herself but has recently started working with a US manufacturer who will produce her bags. This will allow Heidi to concentrate on spreading the word about HKelly designs, designing fabulous new bags and create custom, one-of-a-kind handbags for her customers. Heidi loves to design creative looks while mixing and matching prints and colors. HKelly designs has a wide variety of looks to choose from. If you don’t see a color you like just let Heidi know what you are looking for and she we will work with you to create the perfect bag. Custom designs are a large part of what HKelly designs loves to create.
