Visual Art – Tucson

To be honest, I can\'t remember when I learned I could draw well. It wasn\'t like one day I woke up and realized it was something I could or should do. I never went to school for it or anything. It\'s just something that has always been there for me. I also spent a lot of time restricted to my room as a kid and that might have had something to do with it. The ability to do this doesn\'t make me feel more talented or \"gifted\" than others. Because I did nothing to earn this skill, I have to believe that all of us must possess some special ability or talent. It’s just that most haven\'t found it yet. Unfortunately, some never will. I was lucky, mine just happened to be one that is encouraged during childhood. Right now, drawing is only a hobby of mine. I support my family through other means and don\'t have as much time to draw as I would like. A piece may take me longer to complete than most artists but I\'ll eventually get there. My hope is that one day this talent will take a more prominent role in my life and the lives of my family.
