Damien GILLOT

Born in the North of France, as a child Damien
Gillot was always attracted to the art of sculpture.
Gregory Anatchkov, sculptor-plastician (1941-1997)
, was his teacher and had a huge influence on him.
Damien studied fine cabinetry works in Tournais,
Belgium and metal sculpting in various countries
across Europe.
Attracted by big landscapes, Damien moved to
Montreal, Canada in 2008.
Focused on the impacts of man versus nature,
Damien brought his creations to fruition through
such raw materials as: tree bark, random metallic
objects, etc.
Gillot\'s art is based on the recycling of a world in
mutation
