Visual Art – Perth

21 year old aspiring fine artist, i draw inspiration from artists such as Basquiat, Barry McGee and Margaret Kilgallen. With my main focus being surrealism, i work to illustrate stories in my works. Wether it be that of an idea being brought into tangible form, or more literally, the depiction of various characters\' narratives in a surrealist fashion. As far as my style is concerned, I draw many parallels between the aesthetic of the work and that of 90\'s Hip-Hop, I feel as though they share a similar method of rhythm and construction. No planning or drafting is done in the production of my work, i believe that applying acrylic strait to canvas with no margin for error is an organic method of working, allowing the work to really speak for itself. My preferences at the present in terms of mediums vary from ink markers, to acrylics on gesso-coated boards. I hope to one day gain significant recognition for community and street works, as well as gallery pieces.
