Visual Art – Richmond

I have always had a huge passion for art but I went to school to be an elementary school teacher. Last year at only 23 years old I was diagnosed with cancer.. ; that's when I realized life is short so I completely switched paths and started pursuing art full time. Painting helped me cope with that diagnosis and treatment plan and now I am cancer free and happier than ever! Art is the center of everything. When you look around, you are seeing art of some form or other. At the grocery store, the labels on cans were created by artists. On the streets, you are seeing designs on buildings; especially in Richmond where we have murals everywhere! When you read a magazine, a creative mind organized those graphics. We get one life so why not make it the most beautiful and colorful experience we can?!
