Music – Mexico City
Christina Martines was born and raised in Mexico City, crafted in the arts of contemporary and popular music. At an early age she developed a neat interest in foreign languages and adopted multicultural patterns to connect with her inner artist. Ed Sheeran, Sam Smith and Selena Gomez, just to give some names, are Christina’s main influences in her journey with pop music.
Her carrer kickstarted on 2013 with a couple of mixtapes uploaded to Soundcloud, even thoughthe thing got serious in 2016 when her first Studio Single “Blurry Eyes” got released on streaming platforms and digital stores. The inclusion of the song on multiple songwriting competitions all over the world lead her into a Finalist position on the Alchemy Songwriting Competition (Conway, AR), Semi - Finalist on ISC International Songwriting Competition (Nashville, TN) and Commended Entry Award on UK Songwriting Contest (London, UK). Martines music expresses the simple feeling of growing up as you go experiencing multiple changes in life. “I think that music by itself has the purpose to turn us into the greatest version of ourselves, even the most painful scenarios can be shameful sometimes, it really doesn’t matter because it’s part of who you are. And that it’s extremely beautiful.”
