Visual Art – Raleigh

After my family relocated to Raleigh from the Philippines, I was too young to start school and as a result, spent all of my time with them. During that period, my big brother introduced and taught me about art. I went on to take art classes throughout middle and high school, but that is the extent of my actual \"training.\" I\'ve never attended a formal arts school/academy; however, art has, without fail, been a constant. It has never been technical for me. It has always been about emotion and honesty.

My work is about things like vulnerability, uncertainty, and imperfection. It tells of the light in our darkest moments. Some call it hope and some rebirth. Whatever you call it, I want to tell the story of that light. Though it may sometimes be elusive, it is also very real.

\"Sometimes the brightest light comes from the darkest places.\"
