Chris Lightfoot

Music – Los Angeles

22 year old singer songwriter Chris Lightfoot has just released his next single, “The Perfect You”. With the song already having an impact on Santa Monica's Third Street Promenade, the exciting sound that he has made his own is steadily gaining momentum in Southern California and beyond. The development of his unique style is the result of diverse musical influences such Prince, Erykah Badu and Lenny Kravitz. "I grew up in a very mixed household" he says, "My dad was a professional drummer in the early days of Motown, so I got the funk and soul from him, but my Mom is a total rocker. They were always passionate about music as I was growing up, so it was typical for me to jam to Prince with my Dad, then go out to Metallica show with my Mom!" His first foray into learning an instrument came at age 3, with a small Native American hand drum. By the time he graduated from high school, he had picked up guitar, bass, keyboards, drums and vocals. Chris’s journey has been consistent in the LA music scene for the last 5 years, most recently showcasing his percussion abilities with singer songwriters John West (Mercury/Island Def Jam) and Tamar Kaprelian (Interscope). Both have had a profound influence on the direction his music has taken. In the Summer of 2010, Chris began to focus more on his own music; writing, performing and producing his first EP "Sonic High", which received local praise and is available worldwide through Itunes and other retailers. Riding off the success of that effort, he released the "Now" EP in November, which featured the singles "Uh Oh" and "When The Music Comes Alive". Chris began 2011 by playing a sold out show at the Roxy Theatre in Hollywood, CA, and is currently gearing up to release his debut full length album, "The Present Future", at RAW: Fusion on August 25!
