Izzy Gonzalez

Visual Art – Chicago

My name is Isabel, but I go by Izzy. My childhood consisted of my mother telling stories about my father teaching me to draw a simple tree at the age of 2. That simple gestured helped me get exposed to creation. I grew up too fast and life got the best of me. While busy with school, trying to figure out what to do for the rest of my life, and trying to find balance everything, I lost the creativity I once had inside me. Now, a grown 23 year old young woman, I finally have the time, the inspiration, and the creation sense that I have been yearning for years. That is why I am here. I am here to share my work that has been long overdue. It is time to show the world real me through my paintings. I want to thank a great friend of mine for encouraging me on finally exposing who I really am: an artist and creator. Her believing in me has been a great push for me. I also would like to thank my sister whom for years has constantly been asking me to help her draw her homework assignments and for being my biggest fan from day one. Thank you!
