Visual Art – Denver

My art is multifaceted, I started out making jewelry 8 years ago, using precious metals, cut and raw gem stones to convey my artistic expression. Today I still enjoy creating wearable art but have also found my creativity to lead me to working with other mediums, particularly wood. About two years ago while I had a bad case of vertigo and was unable to make jewelry for several weeks, my desire to express myself creativity lead me to woodburning, or pyrography. It was love at first burn. I found that with woodburning I was able to convey my design esthetic in a different way, in a more meditative state than with metalsmithing. My designs take on different forms in metal and in wood and the two art forms fulfill different aspects of my personality and creative expression. Each piece that I make, whether of wood or metal, is 100% unique, one-of-a-kind and made by hand, with the intention to creating something beautiful for others to enjoy.
