Jasmine Jones

Jasmine Jones is a Calgarian artist who studied at the Alberta College of Art and Design, as a painting major. Working mostly in oils, her art deals with the controversy behind the modelling industry and its correlation between beauty standards and mental health. In the past two years, Jasmine\'s focus has been on models who have succumb to their demons, taking their fate into their own hands. Some of these models include Margaux Hemingway, Marilyn Monroe, Daul Kim, and Lina Marulana - just to name a few. Jasmine hopes to immortalize these women through her paintings; making sure their stories are not left untold - bringing awareness to mental health, and it\'s stigma within the fashion industry.
