The Jeffries

Music – Minneapolis

The Jeffries\' debut album, The Demon of Frenchman Street, uses recurring baroque melodies and lyrical themes to tell a story of a murder mystery that takes place in New Orleans. The project sounds more like a musical than anything, as it listens as one continuous suite. It is inspired by the sounds of the late sixties; the vocal heavy mentalities of Brian Wilson and The Zombies. The Demon of Frenchman Street aims for a modern \"Smile Sessions\" vibe with a murder mystery twist. It\'s chalked full of barking dogs, melodica, harpsichord, melotron, sonic female vocals and brass. The band consists of three vocalists, two brass players, a drummer, a bassist, an auxiliary guy, a word smith and a piano player.
