Visual Art – Calgary
Originally a born and raised west coast island girl, here I am in Alberta, among the mountains and that great big sky; somewhere I thought I'd never find myself. I also never expected to find myself so deeply entranced with this world of art I now find myself so in love with. I've always had a passion for anything creative; dance, music, theatre, fashion, writing....it all lights my soul on fire. I started painting about three years ago. I was alone on New Years eve and I painted my first city-scape....that was it for me; I was hooked. I spent the next three years burning through paint and canvas and weekends creating whatever came into my mind or inspired me. I am both terrified and excited to share my most recent work with you and I can't wait to continue on this crazy journey. Right now I am obsessed with really graphic, modern collages and mixed media works. I'm using all the colours and just taking inspiration from the world around me and icons that inspire me.
