Visual Art – Los Angeles

I started painting when I was four years old and since then has been a part of my life. Painting helps me keep balance both emotionally and mentally. Literally if I stop painting for more than a month I start getting very anxious and stressed because all of my emotions are not getting out of my system. Since I can remember I’ve been a visual and creative human being. Always trying to create something new, take an idea out of my head and make it a reality. After I turned four my mother got tired of me drawing on the walls of the hallway, so she enrolled me in a painting workshop a friend of hers recommended. I got really into painting and learned how to do acrylics, oils, pastels and watercolors. I had a collaborative painting exposition with another group of kids while I was in elementary school. After high school graduation Summer 2012 I moved to Los Angeles, California and started a directing certificate at UCLA Extension, where I worked as art department assistants on many independent projects while I was taking four classes a week at campus. I finished my first short film as my thesis of this program and graduated with honors on December 2013. Right after graduation I applied to The Art Institute of California Los Angeles for the bachelor program on video production and digital filmmaking on January 2014. During my second quarter I had to leave because of my brother’s sudden death. Took the summer off to stay and grief with my family. I'm currently finishing my Bachelors on video production.
