Visual Art – San Francisco

I am an ex military engineer that found life in art. After my time in the military I was homeless and in trouble with the law for a period of time, just another statistic in the eyes of the world. Once I returned to California I found a support system of friends and family. A friend got me work in a mill and it didn't take long for me to move into design since my passion has always been drawing. During this time I met the woman that would eventually become my wife, she encouraged me to pursue an education in art and to try and become an artist, I never believed it possible until her. I grew up thinking that art was something people only did for fun, having no cultural or societal value beyond visual appeal and that only the truly elite were capable of it. I now understand that art in intrinsically priceless and that an individual can express their emotion however they see fit. To be yourself, to expose your inner most self to the world and feel the rush of being.
