Visual Art – St. Louis
I was born in November 1969 and raised in the Chicago suburbs. I earned a degree in art education from Eastern Illinois University in 1991 and then worked as an art educator for the next twenty-five years. With the loving support of my husband and four children, I left the education profession behind In 2017 to pursue my dream of being a full time artist.
While I enjoy working with a variety of media, I mainly work with acrylics. I am inspired to create uplifting images that bring joy to myself and the viewer. Nature themes such as flowers, birds and animals are common along with subjects of human leisure such as food/drink, sports and hobbies.
