Performing Art – Los Angeles

Kasey Bomber is an author, DJ and emcee from Los Angeles, California. For the past ten years she has been a fixture on the microphone for the international roller derby community – lending her emcee skills to events in four countries for events such as the WFTDA International Roller Derby Championships in Nashville, St. Paul and Portland, Oregon as well as 2015’s Women’s Roller Derby World Cup. Her voice can also be heard providing narration for the award winning documentary, Around the Curve. Additionally, she has been featured as a regular co-hostess of the Minneapolis burlesque smash, Jam Out With Your Clam Out. In 2010, her first book, Down and Derby: An Insider’s Guide to Roller Derby was published to acclaim by Soft Skull Press. If you prefer your Kasey Bomber as more the strong, silent type, feel free to visit her on Fridays at Golddigger’s Bar in East Hollywood where she’ll let her records do the talking as one half of the Shake Appeal DJ team. Kasey loves tacos and Captain Beefheart, but hates hugs.
