Photography – Chicago

My primary photographic interests lie in capturing the line and form of urban landscapes. Both with and without human interaction, urban forms and their inevitable decay offer a beautiful reciprocation between shapes, spaces, and light. These scenes, for me, define city existence and the relationship and tension between humanity and environment. I began my art education as a painter have used that knowledge base to create conceptual and landscape digital photography of industrial/man-made structures. All photos presented are iPhoneography. This medium allows discretion and quick access for use in street photography. Additionally, through myriad apps, external lenses, and adjustable shutter a great many techniques can be applied to create works reflecting everything from abstract expressionism to traditional realism.
