Katie Ballantyne

I'm a Melbourne based portrait painter. Originally I am from U.K, but moved to beautiful Frankston about 3 months ago. I studied a BA of fine art about five years ago and then stopped producing any artwork for a very extended holiday. After a four year break of bumming about and lying on different beaches around the world I have picked up a paint brush again and started painting all the beautiful faces in my life. Since moving to warmer climates and falling in love with all the positive, unusual characters I have in my life, my paintings have popped with colour and vibrancy. I hope to gain more experience in psychedelic realism and evolve my paintings with the intensity of colour and light.
