Hello, I would like to introduce myself, my name is Katrina Gaskin and I am a designer, specialising in lingerie.
I graduated from QUT with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Fashion in 2011. After graduating, I worked for Lorna Jane and as a product developer for a fashion Wholesale/design business.
Over the past year I have been running around as a freelance Head Designer and Production Manager for a sportswear company, working in Retail as well as developing my own Lingerie Brand: Katrina Leigh. I do a lot of work on request and am always developing new design ideas... I don\'t think I could ever not be designing.
The collections I have showcased with RAW include my 2011 Graduate collection \"The Fallen Romantic\" and more recent diffusion line, which were inspired by something much more close to heart...
Early in 2010 I lost my grandmother to breast cancer, she was the 3rd generation in my family to pass from the disease. Along with my own personal experiences with breast tumours, I felt a deep connection to the female breast and figure. This collection was a reflection of my journey through 2011 as I struggled with personal scars both physical and emotional.
My lingerie is designed to make every woman feel feminine and beautiful regardless of size, colour, style... and scar!
I feel lingerie is that special garment that is completely a woman\'s own; it can spice things up, support, simplify, feminize, inspire and generate confidence.
