The twenty-year-old, fresh-faced artist KAWAN (pronounced kay-wahn) is doing something new. With an appreciation for the art of performing and theater and 11+ years of songwriting under his belt, the eccentric new rap artist displays high levels of musical creativity while remaining true to the spirit of hip-hop. His first project for the new year, \"Make it Nasty\" was has garnered local attention with an interview feature on CBS Atlanta and is described as a fresh form of entertainment. The creative and clever music video is changing the face of what it means to be a rap artist in this new age. KAWAN has performed at a wide range of music venues in Atlanta from the Philips Arena opening for John Legend and Patti LaBelle, to college nights at the High Museum of Art.
