Visual Art – San Francisco

I am a conceptual sculptor working in New York and San Francisco. I work in a wide range of materials depending on the content of the work. In my work I like to involve the \'viewer\'. I\'d rather someone near my work be a participant or subject than a viewer. I\'d like them to be involved in the functioning of the piece or transported by it. I like to manifest hypothetical situations in sculptural form. Like what if this stool was six feet tall but standard in every other way? I like to make performative objects, sometimes in the form of mechanical sculptures, sometimes in performative sculptures, and sometimes in an interactive representation. Like a snapshot of an interaction that frames you on the other end of the conversation. The representation is responding to you. Sculpture is the deployment of an object in space. I essentially deploy objects and then try to figure out why I\'ve been moved to deploy that specific object and what changes in the world by my object existing.
