Visual Art – Los Angeles

My name is Kennedy Matteson, I am an LA native who has had a passion for art ever since I could pick up a crayon. I went to Mission Reinassance Art School starting at 4 years old, where I was trained in many mediums such as pastels, watercolors, charcoal, and oil paints until I was 10 years old. From then on I had been involved in several art contests and classes through my schooling. There was a period where I had put away my craft in search of a more practical career choice, and had let the dust of time settle. It wasn't until 2015 where I felt like a void had been manifesting itself inside of me and I realized that I was denying myself of who I was and what I loved- and that was art. I began my creative journey once again by painting and continuously practicing to perfect my craft. All around me whether it was friends, family, or just complete strangers; people kept telling me that I need to do something with my art. That's what life is about, finding what you're good at and what makes you happy, and if you can do both with then you've hit the jackpot.
