Photography – Minneapolis
Photography has always been about capturing a single moment in time that will never come again. When shooting landscapes, sports, and family events, I want the viewer to feel that they are at the edge of the action and could simply take a step forward to be part of it.
Portraits are different. There I work to capture not only the image of my subject, but their personality and their spark. In short, I want to capture them as they are everyday but in a way that they may never have thought about, let alone visualized.
Color and light and shape and framing are what I use to tell the story of each scene and each person that I am privileged enough to photograph.
In a world flooded with photos of all sorts, I work to make iconic images out of the simple dailiness of life around us.
