Tanisha Spotted Bull

Visual Art – Calgary

Hello, my name is Tanisha Spotted Bull. I am a young Native American woman, and I am proud of who I am. My background is Cree and Blackfoot. I'm a strong painter, and I have been creating art since I was young. I have worked with many different sizes of canvases ranging from small to large. The largest piece that I have worked on was an 8 foot high mural for my old high school. I helped make the canvas, then I painted it myself. The mural was based on all the different students we had in our school. The message behind the piece showed us that we can come together as one. “Alone we are strong, together we are stronger.” My second biggest piece would be a 4 x 2 foot ceiling tile based on the third Harry Potter movie, "The Prisoner Of Azkaban". Lastly, some of my art projects have been featured in a museum, newspapers, social media, and displayed in different provinces across Canada. I plan to keep going on with my art and to expand my skill and experience. My goal is to become a very well-known artist! Thank you for your time.
