KIYAKAYA focuses on garment customisation and personalisation. It represents a recently established collective of Western Australian independent design labels by Curtin University Fashion Graduates. It aims to connect local independent designers with WA community through the process of garment customisation and personalisation. It is made possible through the integration of digital innovation in garment production and commerce to make custom made and personalised garments more readily available for the general public. KIYAKAYA is also the name for our website and online store, which has launched in early 2017, offering customers the choice to purchase custom made, locally designed and produced clothing, or they can choose to be body scanned for garments to be made to their specific measurements and shape. This initiative is supported by Curtin Fashion Incubator Program made possible through industry collaboration with DHouse Australia.
