Beauty – Portland
My name is Kat...I am the Kat in Kytty Kat Designs. I am a self-trained Face-Painter, Horror/SFX makeup artist and craft creator. I created Kytty Kat Designs because I enjoy it so much. I have always been a Halloween and Horror movie enthusiast. I was always creating elaborate makeups for myself on Halloween since high school. Then I was doing the makeup for my friends as well. After moving to Oregon, I was hired as an actor at a local haunt r in Portland. Spending time in the makeup chair watching the artists creating monsters awakened my inner artist. The following year in 2013 I created Kytty Kat Designs. I added face painting so I could work with children. I have done makeup for several zombie-themed events from Rosenberg to Tacoma. Including but not limited to the Portland Disaster Preparedness Games 2014, was an extra in the short film "Zombie Day Apocalypse," Fright Town Makeup Team and actor in the 2015 Halloween Season and even had a zombie wedding in 2013. I have hired to do large events by Lyft, Muscular Dystrophy Association, and Stand Up for Cancer. Most recently I have been hired at a new Portland area haunt that I love. They give us the artistic freedom to bring nightmares to life.
I began sewing when I was 9 years old and made dozens of pillows since...all hand-stitched, machine washable and no two the same design. I take custom orders and will make you a beautiful quilted pillow with whatever fabric or theme you like.
