Photography – San Francisco

Laura Stevenson is a new media artist based in the Bay Area. She recently graduated from the University of San Francisco where she studied graphic design and computer science. Her artwork consists of surreal portraits, moving images, interactive web pieces, and installations that speak to women’s issues, learning disabilities, and altered states of reality. In her free time you are likely to find her jogging through Golden Gate Park or making late night boba runs with her seven roommates. When it comes to art, Stevenson tends to focus heavily on the conceptual and emotionally evocative aspects of her work. Interactive art is her passion as it allows her to alter and manipulate the viewer’s experience. In combination with interactivity, she creates dreamlike visuals that provoke thought around the subject matter of her work. Stevenson considers her practice an unconventional method of expressing her position on critical social issues. Send her an email if you would like to get in touch.
