Visual Art – San Francisco
Lauren Gunn is a painter and illustrator based in the San Francisco bay area. Her surreal, vibrantly colored paintings are inspired by the female experience and visually striking details found in everyday life. Lauren's body of work includes paintings made through dance as well as classical painting and illustration. She received a BA in Art History with a Studio Art minor from Humboldt State University in Arcata, CA. In the Spring of 2015, Lauren's work was featured in the recent graduate and alumni exhibition, "Labelled", at HSU's First Street Gallery. In her free time, Lauren enjoys cooking, YouNowing, and volunteering at the de Young Museum.
