Fashion – Washington, D.C.

I am a fashion designer and illustrator with a BA in Fashion Design from Marymount University, Arlington VA. My parents gave me art supplies instead of baby dolls to play with when I was a little girl - my mom always thought I would be a fashion designer, and that my purpose in life was the make the world a more beautiful place. I\'ve always drawn, painted, and made up stories and scenes to illustrate. I was implanted with the desire to manifest things I saw in my head, and I came to love artists that did the same. And I read comics and played with Barbie dolls, too. By the time I was in high school, I was tired of what I should be wearing and what everyone else was wearing, and started fiddling with scraps of fabric and clothes that had been tossed aside, and began to teach myself how to pattern-make. I began my college studies at Michigan State University as an Apparel & Textile Design major, and after some meandering, graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree from Marymount U.
