Visual Art – San Jose

I am a natural lover for the Earth''s palette and admirer of all organic matter within my surroundings. After a bachelors degree in Art Administration at the University of Maine with a focus on Graphic Design, I spent a few years chasing the dream of being a designer. I had Graphic Design internships for product design in the ski and snow industry and even a job working as a designer in the RV Industry. It wasn't long before I began to feel more disconnected from my artwork when I realized I was doing so much clicking and so little brushing. I simply wanted to use my hands in different way. I began to release the tangibles of technology and started investing more time into fundamental types of mediums. A pen and paper felt more appropriate than a mouse and a filter. Drawings soon yearned for more life and paint eventually filled the gaps. Illustrating and painting have always been a way for me quickly harness a creative thought and not only express my inner self but portray my reaction of the world around me. As color theory has also particularly been an interest of mine, my choice of color is inventive yet responsive. Mainly used to highlight the of subject of my work, I view color as a large part of my expression.
