LIDIA MATIJEVIC

Lidia\'s first runway show was held in her lounge room when she was only six years old. With gowns made from vintage clothes and veils made from plastic bags who would of thought this was the start of a fresh new talent. Lidia has completed four years of Applied Fashion Design and Technology at Kangan Institute, Melbourne. During her studies she adventured to fashion weeks in Milan, Paris, Barcelona, London and Hong Kong. Where she visited Design Houses throughout Europe, trade shows in Milan, and also visited multiple well known brand factories in China. Since graduating, Lidia\'s Kangan Institute final collection was noticed and the Men\'s Union Jack Jacket was worn by Brendan \'Jonesy\' Jones on channel sevens popular show, Dancing with the Stars. This collection, named London Look will be presented on the catwalk at Encompass! So come down and see what the fuss is all about! Lidia also won the label of 2012 Hamilton Australasian Young Designer of the Year for the category of Corporate Daywear. Lidia currently works in the Wardrobe Department at Global Studios, catering for channel seven and of course the demanding weekly costumes of Dancing with the Stars. After the grand final of the hit Tv series, Lidia would like to continue working in the fashion industry with a dream to one day have her own label. FUN FACT : On Lidia\'s way home from her trip to London, she got on the wrong plane home and ended up in Singapore! Yes, that\'s right! She is living proof that it can actually happen!
